FiveM Asset Escrow System
How Cfx.re escrow protects encrypted Biyei resources, and how to fix the three most common escrow errors.
The FiveM Asset Escrow System is Cfx.re's protective mechanism for content creators. It encrypts most purchased assets, offering robust protection against dumping or bypassing.
How it works
Assets purchased through the Biyei Store are encrypted against your Cfx.re license. This safeguards exclusive content by preventing unauthorized access or extraction — the resource will only run on a server whose FiveM license key is entitled to that purchase.
Common escrow errors
1. Corrupted files during transfer
File corruption happens when encrypted resources aren't copied correctly during server setup.
Warning
Use WinSCP instead of FileZilla to upload escrowed resources — it handles the transfer more reliably and preserves every file, including the .fxap file.
2. Entitlement errors
This happens when the server is using a FiveM server license key that isn't associated with the original purchase.
Note
Double-check you linked the correct Cfx.re account when purchasing, then restart the server after installing the resource.
3. Syntax errors
These usually come from outdated server artifacts.
Important
Make sure your build/artifact version is above +4960. Grab the latest from the official FiveM artifacts repository.
